Welcome to the 100th episode, such a monumental episode. And on my journey, I learned that most podcasts do not last beyond seven episodes. Mind blowing for me as I heard that as I was being a guest for some, they're like, Oh, I've only planned 10 and then I'll see what happens. And I just think, Oh my gosh, why try, you know, I guess try something that's one thing. If it doesn't work for you, you don't love it. I get that, but wow, to maybe not take it for one year. I'm excited to still be here. And since the 100th episode is such a monumental episode for most people, there's lots of things people do. As I was approaching it, I'm like, what am I going to do? What am I going to share? How am I going to make it different? I wanted it To just kind of stand out. So it came to me that, especially since I reshared my personal financial journey story in January, that I'm like, I have never shared my journey as a podcast host. I'm going to share that with you today. And a couple of other things. I have a few asks within this episode as listeners and. It's because of you that I'm still here and still going and excited and know that I'm making a difference as I've chatted with many of you on the phone and grateful to have that opportunity to get that communication back because that is not what a podcast does. My podcast journey began in April of 2023, probably sooner. I had the thought, so I began entrepreneurship in June of 2022. That was the month after I retired and I became my own boss and doing all the things that entrepreneurs do. And in October of that year, I was like kind of this little thought, the back of my mind. You should do a podcast. And immediately. Like I wouldn't know where to start. I wouldn't know what to do. I don't know what it takes, like I hadn't, you know, gone down that road. So I kind of tucked it away keep working through all of the other things it takes to run a business working with different coaches. And so in February of 2023. Yes, because that's when I started so in February of 2023, I was working with this wonderful marketing coach. And I actually found her because of her podcast. And she had the experience. And I kind of mentioned, you know, well, I've had the idea. I just don't know what to do. She goes, you want to do it? And I said, yes, let's do it. I've got this help? I've invested in myself. Let's go for it. The first thing she asks is what, how quickly do you want to release this? And I am thinking, we're talking about it in March. I started working with her in February and March is we're getting a little serious. And I'm like, well, okay. May, like two months. She's like, okay, but I think you could do it quicker. And I'm like, I have no idea what it entails. Like, we haven't even dived into that. we start, you know, checking off the things. What it is I want to call it. What I'm going to talk about. Start creating some of the episodes. Really getting the vision for it. And it's coming together really well. That I realize, By the end of March, that it's not going to take until May. She says, do you want to release it sooner? I said, yes. I'm ready. She goes, okay, what's your new date? So me, I choose April 15th, because why not? I'm a numbers person, tax day, so fitting. So April 15th, 2023, I released three episodes. And every Tuesday since, I have released an episode. In the beginning, I did three solo, one guest, and that was the Cadence. We kept going, kept moving during this time. I, again, podcasting is, I love it. I love it. You know, sharing my thoughts and it's, it's great. I love the platform, but I did still didn't understand the whole shebang of it. The understanding of it. I'm still learning and I can't remember when it was. It was probably within a year ish, maybe, and still doing that cadence of one, Episode a week on Tuesdays, I reached top 5 percent globally within the category, which is education, top 5%. I'm like, really? Now there are a lot of podcasts out there. So it doesn't mean like I'm one of 25. it's not that, but to have come out of these masses of all of these podcasts who are out there. And even as I would go and look not to worry myself, but just kind of see like, who else is within my same category. I'm recognizing there's a very few financial coaches within my sector. And now as I say sector, I focus on Those older than 40 specifically the Gen Xers. I'm a Gen Xer. I know I've had boomers on here I know I've had old Millennials on here as well But it's just fitting this age bracket right where we're starting to get a little more serious about money retirement What it really means You know, we've gotten past that, you know, I know everything. And now it's like, Oh crap, I've really got to figure things out. So honestly, reaching that was like, Holy cow. I didn't know where that came from. And I had people say. I showed up every week and I talked to my listeners. I didn't do anything else. I didn't buy any reviews. I didn't really do any other, you know, promotion. I went on to other podcasts talking about it. as I said, we have done one episode every Tuesday until January, 2025. I've decided to go in, share more, get some more experts in here talking about the things that matter most in retirement. The areas that I don't know, I'm not an expert in, I might have a small understanding that we need it, and so I'm trying to find those individuals to come on. Every Friday is a guest episode. We've covered a series. State planning, we've covered retirement strategies. I've got a generosity coach coming up. I've got some relationship specialists. So really trying to explore another one that I'm excited for. It won't come out for a couple months is how to turn a craft hobby. Into an actual passive income. So excited for that. Just trying to get the variety out there. To continue to be able to deliver that. I would love if you have a guest or a topic that I need to be looking for a guest for. If you can drop that down, there's a question link in the show notes that you just submit to me. Let me know who it is or let me know what topic it is so I can continue to bring worthwhile content that is going to support you. Now I know not every topic is for everyone, but I really need to know what am I missing? Where are my gaps? How can I support you better? So having reached top 5 percent globally, I do have a request from you besides what I just asked. If you have not yet left a rating and a review and you've gotten value from this show, I would love if you could do that for me. This helps the show reach more listeners like yourself. With just a little bit boost of visibility. So hopefully you'll take a minute whenever you can, maybe you're still driving and just drop that review down there in the show note or not the show notes down in your player for me. To add to this 100th episode, I wanted to share the top five episodes. The Fifth one is a newcomer to the list. It's replaced one that was on there maybe two months ago. You guys are eating it up. You're letting me know what areas you need support in. And these top five are coming from my new host. I transferred hosts in June of 2024. It's coming from the time and time period in that. Number one, Episode 63. Now this list will be down in the show notes so that you can go click if you missed it. Maybe you're like, I need to go back to that one. Episode 63. Why you feel broke and how to manage your cash flow effectively. This is perfect for those of you who feel like you're shuffling money around all of the time. I kind of give an example of a client I worked with and explain how to make it more, make it make more sense. Specifically, I'm going to give one little tidbit here, not to take up too much time, but if your income is going into an account where you cannot pay bills from, that is going to cause shuffling, late fees, not being able to get your bills paid on time, and you're going to feel like, I don't have enough money. So, Go listen to that for some more tidbits as well. Episode or the number two is episode 65 steps to becoming your own financial advisor. I created this episode. Because there are many of my clients who come to me or many of those on a free call who are expressing that they're not sure how to work with a financial advisor or do they want to, or lots of different angles. I knew this was the case. Cause if you go back into the episodes further into my first year, I did an episode with a guest who is a financial advisor, a great connection of mine. And we talked about how. To work with a financial advisor, what they're going to ask those types of things. But I know there's many people who are not comfortable working with a financial advisor, and honestly, you don't have to have one. That's why I created this. There are some things you're going to need a financial advisor for if you're wanting to tap into certain investments, but otherwise you can, you can learn how to be your own. And this is what that episode does and giving you five things to help you be that better investor. advisor for yourself. And who's not better for yourself than you. You know what you need, you know what your struggles are. Sometimes we might get a little myopic. So if that is happening, you need to get an outside influence in there. Number three is episode 56. How to bridge the retirement savings gap. Yep. Everybody's worried about, have I saved enough? I didn't do the things I needed to be doing. You know, there's life, life has happened and we are faced like we know we're on that last bit of this race and how am I going to make it up? This episode will support you and help you, lose the fear of not having enough, I hope, as well as steps you can be taking. Don't let the fear stop you from not taking those steps. That is one crucial mistake I see people making is not actually doing the steps. Number four is episode 59. Four simple steps to master consistent savings. I know that savings is hard. There is an episode of mine, it's my absolute favorite, it's a thing I truly believe that That learning to save is the number one money skill, the number one money habit because it's got to be a skill first and then it becomes a habit that will solve 99 percent of your money problems. And how do I know this? How do I know savings is difficult for everybody? This is my other, like right below this top five, there are so many more of my savings episodes that people are downloading. They're, they're needing the help, they're wanting the help. And with this, I just wanna let you know, this is the first cat out of the bag. I'm creating a savings academy. It's hopefully going to be released this summer. I'm going to put a link down here for the waitlist for the savings challenge. The savings challenge will be a overview of what to see in that academy and also how you can get information about that. Go jump on the waitlist. Hopefully something will be in your inbox pertaining to that. May, maybe June of 2025. So ready to help everybody learn how to be a saver. Cause that is the number one skill. And the number five episode is episode 78, three ways to make sure you're on track to retirement. We worry, we're trying to figure it out. We're hopeful, hoping that we're going to finish this race strong. This episode gives you the three ways to check this, to discover that you are on track and maybe the adjustments that you need to make. Go listen to that. So as I'm getting to the close of this episode, I do have another request. If you have questions. That you're wanting an answer for. I want to do a Q and a episode. And if I get lots of questions, the, this will become a regular thing, but drop your question. There's a link at the top of the show notes, drop it there. I can't reply back to you. You can drop it anonymously, but just know, I cannot communicate with you there. You will remain anonymous. You will. When I use your question for the episode, but drop your questions there related to budgeting, savings, retirement. Maybe you've got a mindset question that you're not quite sure how to overcome some fears and those types of things. Drop your questions there. I plan on doing an episode, hopefully April, if you can help me out. Whatever question you have, go drop it. I just wanted to share my journey, share the results of this podcast. This is episode 100. Go drop a review, maybe on this episode for me share with your friends and family. If you've gotten value, maybe they could also get value as well. I have enjoyed. the podcast. I love it. I love, you know, meeting the people who are guests on here. I love it when you connect with me on the free calls to know how to better support you to fill in the gaps that I might not be covering on the podcast. So if you've wondered, if you're like, maybe I should, maybe I shouldn't schedule your retirement vision today. That complimentary call bonus. If you book before the end of March is the financial health audit your life assessment will go through eight areas to find whatever area may be holding you back the most and give you some action steps to get moving forward. But yeah, let's explore what you got going on. Give me some information to make more content for this podcast so that we can. Well, maybe, I don't know how quickly we'll reach the 200th episode, but by the 200th episode, we'll kind of do a recap again. thank you to my wonderful listeners. I appreciate you. I'm glad you're here. I am grateful for your support and look forward to serving you in the future.
